About
Hi, I'm Joshua.
Quiet Table started with a picture I couldn't shake: a sunlit wooden table by a big window, plants everywhere, coffee within reach, and a few simple tools nearby. It's a place where nobody is performing. People are just present.
And in that picture, Jesus is at the table too.
I believe the best relationships begin with who you really are, not who you're trying to look like. That goes for friendships, marriage, and family, and I think it goes for faith too. So this site is my attempt to show up honestly and to make a little room for you to do the same.
A few things about me
- I live in Israel with my wife and our three kids.
- I'm deeply drawn to the Hebrew Bible: the language, the lexicons, the commentaries.
- I build things: an interactive Bible study engine, a Codex 3D Bible model, and various web apps. I do much of that work with AI helpers.
- I love the craft of reading: marking up PDFs with an Apple Pencil, digitizing my library with OCR, and keeping interactive notes on the books that matter to me.
- I'm training for backpacking, one endurance session at a time.
What I value: authenticity, quiet presence, craft, nature, and thoughtful conversation.
If any of that sounds like your kind of table, I'm glad you're here.
